Pauline, c’est aussi une amie de la même classe que Patrick et Magda. Étrangement, j’ai commencé avec elle comme chef opérateur, sur un de ses films étudiants. On est devenu·es très ami·es.Pauline is also a friend from the same class as Patrick and Magda. Oddly enough, I started out with her as director of photography, on one of her student films. We became very close friends.

Elle a grandi dans le Jura, une région où la tradition des guérisseur·euses est très forte. C’est de là qu’est né Feu Feu Feu, son premier long métrage, dont j’ai composé la musique en 2024.She grew up in the Jura, a region where the tradition of healers is very strong. That is where Feu Feu Feu comes from, her first feature, which I scored in 2024.

Après des années de recherche, elle a trouvé Juliette sur TikTok : une jeune femme de 17 ans qui se dit sorcière moderne et coupeuse de feu, un don hérité de sa grand-mère. Elle l’a suivie pendant un camp scout, l’été après le bac. Le film a été présenté en première mondiale à Visions du Réel, en compétition nationale.After years of research, she found Juliette on TikTok: a 17-year-old who calls herself a modern witch and a fire-talker, a gift inherited from her grandmother. Pauline followed her through a scout camp, the summer after she finished school. The film premiered at Visions du Réel, in the national competition.

On a passé de longues soirées à travailler et à peaufiner la musique de Feu Feu Feu. C’était très chouette. Pauline a toujours été très fan de chats, alors elle adore quand on travaille et que mes chats s’invitent.We spent long evenings working on the music of Feu Feu Feu and refining it. It was a lovely time. Pauline has always been a big cat lover, so she loves it when we are working and my cats invite themselves in.

On se retrouve maintenant pour Onze35, une expérience en réalité virtuelle sur l’apnée statique, vécue à travers trois plongeurs, avec Mélanie Courtinat à l’animation 3D.We are now working together again on Onze35, a virtual reality piece about static apnea, lived through three free divers, with Mélanie Courtinat on 3D animation.
