J’ai rencontré Laura sur le tournage des Mouches de Beni, où je faisais la prise de son et où elle jouait. Pendant un réglage, j’ai posé ma perche sur elle alors qu’elle se concentrait pour son rôle, et ça l’a fait beaucoup rire. On est très vite devenu·es ami·es.I met Laura on the shoot of Les mouches de Beni, where I was recording sound and she was acting. During a check I rested my boom on her while she was concentrating on her part, and it made her laugh a lot. We became friends very quickly.

On s’est retrouvé·es au théâtre : elle jouait dans Foucault en Californie, la pièce de Lionel Baier sur Michel Foucault, dont je composais la musique. On a énormément de points communs et de passions partagées : le jeu vidéo, la musique, internet. On est des ados qui ont grandi en ligne. Des geeks.We met again in the theatre: she was acting in Foucault en Californie, Lionel Baier’s play about Michel Foucault, for which I composed the music. We have an enormous amount in common, passions we share: video games, music, the internet. We are teenagers who grew up online. Geeks.

Laura est actrice et performeuse belge, formée au Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, à Lyon puis à La Manufacture, à Lausanne. Elle a joué pour Tiago Rodrigues, Nina Negri (M. la Multiple, Sous Influence, Violence Forest au Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne) et Lionel Baier, et crée ses propres performances, comme Femme en appartement. Artiste associée à L’Abri, à Genève, en 2021–22, elle y a commencé une recherche sur la construction de sa propre image et y a créé Exhibition, une performance participative de cinq heures où le public la costume et lui commande une prestation filmée en direct. Avec Guilhem, elle a fondé la Compagnie PNJ à Genève.Laura is a Belgian actress and performer, trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels, in Lyon and then at La Manufacture in Lausanne. She has performed for Tiago Rodrigues, Nina Negri (M. la Multiple, Sous Influence, Violence Forest at Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne) and Lionel Baier, and creates her own performances, such as Femme en appartement. Associate artist at L’Abri in Geneva in 2021–22, she began there a research into the construction of her own image and created Exhibition, a five-hour participatory performance in which the audience dresses her and commissions a live-filmed act. With Guilhem, she founded Compagnie PNJ in Geneva.

J’ai rencontré Guilhem à travers elle, et c’est aussi quelqu’un que je considère énormément, un très bon ami. Réalisateur, musicien et plasticien, né à Narbonne et formé aux Beaux-Arts de Montpellier, il travaille sur la relation entre l’image et le son, entre cinéma, spectacle et art contemporain. Avec Ekiem Barbier et Quentin L’Helgoualc’h, il a coréalisé Knit’s Island, un long métrage documentaire tourné entièrement dans un jeu vidéo en ligne, Prix Burning Lights à Visions du Réel 2023 et prix de la critique FIPRESCI, puis la série La Vraie Vie pour Arte et le court métrage Normal Planet, en compétition à Visions du Réel 2026. À nous trois, on partage vraiment quelque chose de commun dans nos passions.I met Guilhem through her, and he is also someone I think the world of, a very good friend. A director, musician and visual artist, born in Narbonne and trained at the Montpellier school of fine arts, he works on the relationship between image and sound, between cinema, performance and contemporary art. La Compagnie PNJ, c’est la leur : ils m’ont invité à en faire partie. Ensemble, on a créé Exhibition.exe au Mapping Festival 2025 : une performance de quatre heures, en salle et sur Twitch, où le public façonne en temps réel l’image et le destin d’une streameuse jouée par Laura, dans une mise en scène et une technique dirigées par Guilhem. J’y signe la création sonore et musicale. Le projet a ensuite été présenté aux Swiss Interactive Sessions du GIFF, et une troisième version est en préparation.Compagnie PNJ is their company: they invited me to join it. Together we created Exhibition.exe at the Mapping Festival 2025: a four-hour performance, in the room and on Twitch, where the audience shapes in real time the image and fate of a streamer played by Laura, with staging and technology led by Guilhem. I did the sound and music. The project was then presented at GIFF’s Swiss Interactive Sessions, and a third version is in the works.

Notre prochain grand projet, c’est Hell. : l’histoire d’une intelligence artificielle qui navigue dans les archives de l’adolescence geek en ligne de Laura et les met en scène. Laura est en résidence à la Kaserne Basel cet automne pour l’écrire, et la création est prévue en 2027.Our next big project is Hell.: the story of an artificial intelligence that browses the archives of Laura’s geek adolescence online and stages them. Laura is in residence at Kaserne Basel this autumn to write it, and the premiere is planned for 2027.
